AI Workflows Engineer (Python)

Location: Lausanne, Switzerland or Cambridge, UK; hybrid setup with up to 2 remote days per week

What you will do

• Design and deliver AI-powered engineering workflows for specific industry applications.
• Build, test, package, release, and maintain production Python tools integrated with CAD and CAE systems.
• Define clean interfaces and data flows with CAD and CAE specialists.
• Identify recurring project patterns and turn them into reusable templates, presets, and platform components.
• Collaborate with product management, reference customers, and end users to gather feedback and drive adoption.
• Contribute to documentation, playbooks, and hands-on training sessions.

Requirements

• Experience building and shipping production Python tools in fast-moving, cross-functional teams.
• Strong software engineering practices, including packaging, pytest-based testing, CI, code review, documentation, and Git.
• Ability to contribute to technical direction and architecture while remaining a hands-on developer.
• Experience integrating external tools and defining clean data interfaces for engineering specialists.
• Background in physics or engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Must be based in Lausanne or Cambridge, or willing to relocate; hybrid attendance is required.

Nice to have

• Industry exposure in automotive, aerospace, energy, or related product design processes.
• Familiarity with CAD and/or CAE.
• Familiarity with machine learning libraries such as scikit-learn, PyTorch, or TensorFlow.
• Experience with agentic AI orchestration.
