What you will do

• Analyze trading system performance and implement enhancements to drive commercial performance.
• Build and maintain complex parallel computing architectures and electronic trading tools.

• Develop foundational technologies to run algorithms on global markets.

Requirements

• Strong academic background in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or Engineering.
• Proven software engineering experience building systems with strict low-latency requirements (microsecond precision).
• Experience in performance tuning and optimization of distributed systems.
• Proficiency with Linux shell.
• Must be based in London, UK to work from the trading floor.

Nice to have

• Professional experience in securities or electronic trading.
• Expertise in multi-threaded/concurrent programming and JIT code path optimization.
• Deep knowledge of JVM tuning, JNI, and network I/O in Java.
• Understanding of Linux kernel/OS internals and hardware architecture from a latency perspective.
