What you will do

• Develop and maintain core network server modules and proprietary binary protocols.
• Lead the design of new features and improvements for connectivity and drivers.
• Implement robust server-side code and manage HTTP and Bolt protocol interactions.
• Collaborate with product managers to influence the strategic direction of network connectivity.
• Engage with the developer community through blog posts, training, and events.

Requirements

• 5+ years of practical experience in Java language, platform, and ecosystem.
• Deep understanding of network concepts and binary protocols.
• Experience with distributed system design and API development.
• Ability to lead design processes and incorporate stakeholder feedback.
• Must be based in or able to work from the London office.

Nice to have

• Experience with Netty, Wireshark, or network packet analysis.
• Knowledge of database management systems or graph databases.
• Familiarity with system-oriented languages like C, C++, Rust, or Go.
• Experience with Java Web Development Specifications (JAX-RS) and Docker.
