Senior Finance Manager (EV Charging)

Senior Finance Manager (Record to Report): Managing the end-to-end month-end close process and financial control environment for a leading EV charging provider with an accent on balance sheet reconciliation and audit readiness. Location: Hybrid (1-2 days per week in London office). Must have the legal right to work in the UK.

Salary: £70,000 - £80,000 / year

What you will do

• Manage the end-to-end month-end close process across all entities, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with group requirements.
• Lead the Balance Sheet Cleanse project to rebuild reconciliations to a consistent standard and maintain fully reconciled accounts.
• Embed and strengthen key financial controls throughout the year to ensure the business is audit-ready.
• Design and optimize Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), identifying opportunities for automation using RPA and AI-enabled solutions.
• Deputize for the Group Financial Controller, acting as the senior point of escalation within the Financial Control team.
• Collaborate with the Group FC, Head of Group Reporting, and Head of FP&A to ensure financial processes reflect operational activity.

Requirements

• Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA).
• Proven experience as a Senior Finance Manager or in a Record to Report (R2R) role within a corporate environment.
• Strong technical knowledge of IFRS and VAT.
• Hands-on experience owning balance sheet reconciliation frameworks and driving operational efficiency.
• Experience maintaining financial controls and working with Big Four accounting firms on external audits.
• Legal right to work in the UK.

Nice to have

• Exposure to finance transformation or process improvement projects.
• Hands-on experience with automation tools, RPA, or AI-driven process improvement.
• Knowledge of CIS returns and EPS/PAYE submissions.
