Senior Physical Design Engineer

What you will do

• Manage all aspects of Physical Design for full chip or block level in extremely advanced technology nodes (10nm and below).
• Execute deep floorplanning, partitioning, power mesh distribution, and clock tree planning/analysis (CTS).
• Perform timing analysis and closure through sign-off, including signal integrity, noise, and ECO tasks.
• Handle all validation and qualification tasks, including Formal Verification, EM/IR, DRC, LVS, Antenna, and ERC analysis.
• Develop and enhance timing-related scripts for clock skew and critical path analysis across various IO interfaces.
• Lead multiple high-complexity design cycles from RTL to GDSII with minimal supervision.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in RTL2GDSII work on 10nm or below nodes with designs of 500k–1million+ instances.
• Expert power user of PnR and timing analysis CAD tools from Synopsys and/or Cadence.
• Strong knowledge of synthesis flow, DFT scan insertion, and optimization.
• Expertise in timing STA/PTSI, signal integrity closure, and ECO generation/implementation.
• Proficiency in Perl, TCL, Python scripting, and Makefile.
• Experience with sign-off tape-out closure work.
