What you will do

• Build performant, secure, and maintainable Golang microservices to power innovative financial services.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, and business stakeholders to deliver customer-focused solutions.
• Contribute to system design and architecture while championing engineering best practices.
• Develop data-driven financial insights and enable integrations with leading external applications.
• Support the delivery of scalable, resilient systems to help customers better manage their money.

Requirements

• Strong commercial experience developing backend applications in Golang.
• Experience building and supporting microservices architectures.
• Experience deploying and operating applications in containerised environments, ideally Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve issues across the application stack (network, server, and database layers).
• Must be based in the UK for hybrid office attendance (minimum 2 days per week).

Nice to have

• Experience with PHP, Kafka, RabbitMQ, or event-driven architectures.
• Knowledge of AWS, Docker, and CI/CD practices.
• Experience with PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or BigQuery.
• Previous experience within fintech, payments, or a fast-paced startup environment.
• Experience mentoring and coaching other engineers.
