What you will do

• Lead the containerization of the core monolith application to modernize deployment and scaling workflows.
• Execute high-priority integration projects to align backend systems with global infrastructure.
• Identify and implement backend improvements to enhance performance and reduce operational toil through automation.
• Take end-to-end ownership of complex projects from design to deployment.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to interpret technical requirements and influence engineering velocity.
• Participate in an on-call rotation to ensure 24/7 platform reliability.

Requirements

• 4–5+ years of relevant experience in backend engineering.
• Strong background in containerization using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Advanced knowledge of AWS services including ECS, EC2, Aurora, and DynamoDB.
• Proven ability to manage entire projects and coordinate across different areas.
• Strong communication skills to guide and coach team members.
• Must be based in London and able to work from the office 3 days per week.
