TL;DR

Research and Impact Manager (Higher Education): Managing research, knowledge exchange, and impact activities for the Centre for Protecting Women Online with an accent on income generation and stakeholder engagement. Focus on coordinating external funding bids, managing budgets, and developing communication strategies to enhance the Centre's reputation.

Location: Hybrid; must be based in the UK and attend the Milton Keynes office at least 1 day per week

What you will do

  • Manage income generation and support external funding bids including horizon scanning, costing, and pricing.
  • Oversee Knowledge Exchange (KE) and impact activities, including evidence collation and report preparation.
  • Coordinate networks and partnerships and develop engagement programmes to support the Centre's vision.
  • Develop and manage the Centre's communications strategy and external presence across social media and websites.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including Finance, Legal, and Business Development units.
  • Monitor project finances and report on milestones for internally and externally funded projects.

Requirements

  • Degree level education or equivalent experience in a relevant role.
  • Previous operational experience in research management or grant administration.
  • Proven experience managing multiple projects and key stakeholder relationships.
  • Experience in setting and managing finance budgets.
  • Awareness of the HE funding environment, the Research Excellence Framework, and the 'Impact Agenda'.
  • Must be able to work from the Milton Keynes office at least once a week.

  • Project Management qualification.
  • Interest in the Centre’s remit regarding protecting women online.
