Logistics Coordinator (Internship)

Location: Penang, Malaysia; onsite temporary internship position.

What you will do

• Process export orders, update shipment trackers and systems, and place carrier bookings according to contracts and routing guides.
• Coordinate trucks, containers, empty return, laden-out milestones, and urgent transport requirements with vendors.
• Follow up on customer shipping documents for customs declaration, clearance, and shipping instruction submission.
• Monitor port and clearance status, submit shipping instructions, and coordinate draft and final bills of lading with customers and carriers.
• Complete shipment updates, pre-alerts, final documentation, vendor cost take-up, billing, and document filing according to KPI deadlines.
• Report daily operational matters to the Head of Department or Team Lead and seek clarification when needed.

Requirements

• Diploma or degree in Supply Chain, Logistics Management, or an equivalent field.
• 1–3 years of experience in freight forwarding, preferably in export operations.
• Ability to multitask and stay beyond working hours when necessary to complete assigned work.
• Ability to monitor work status after working hours when required.
• Ability to work as part of a team and follow Team Lead instructions.
