Malaysia Planning Team Leader (Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Analyze sales forecasts and order volumes by SKU, assess capacity, and address potential supply bottlenecks.
• Release planned orders and purchase requests after MRP runs and monitor purchase-request delivery dates.
• Expedite or delay open orders according to demand and forecasts.
• Create detailed production schedules, optimize production capacity, and respond to commercial change requests.
• Control inventory turnover, inventory value, and slow-moving materials within budget.
• Identify single-source raw materials and supply weaknesses while coordinating improvements with sales, R&D, and operations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher.
• At least 3 years of experience in material planning or production scheduling within an industrial or manufacturing environment.
• Good computer and office software skills, especially Excel and Word.
• Good written and spoken English is required.
• Strong communication and coordination skills, with a responsive, action-oriented, diligent, responsible, patient, and careful working style.

Nice to have

• Experience operating ERP systems such as SAP.
• Chemical or mathematical educational background and strong logical and numerical skills.
• Experience maintaining SAP master data.
• Initiative, continuous-improvement mindset, and willingness to take on challenging work.
