TL;DR

Gender and AAP Programmatic Review Consultant (Gender & AAP): Conducting a structured programmatic review to assess gaps and strengthen gender equality and Accountability to Affected Populations (AAP) frameworks in Lebanon with an accent on alignment with the hirify.global Gender Equality Action Plan 2026-2029. Focus on enhancing humanitarian accountability and shaping the new Country Program Document 2028-2032.

What you will do

• Conduct a Gender Equality and AAP Programmatic Review (GPR) for the hirify.global Lebanon Country Office.
• Assess existing gaps and prioritize areas to introduce or strengthen gender equality programming.
• Align country programmes with the hirify.global Gender Equality Action Plan (UGEAP) and Strategic Plan 2026-2029.
• Enhance AAP minimum standards to ensure affected populations are central to humanitarian action.
• Support the planning and refinement of the Country Program Document 2028-2032.

Requirements

• Master's degree in gender, sociology, anthropology, or a related field.
• Minimum 8 years of technical experience in gender equality and research.
• Proven expertise in supporting gender equality and AAP assessments or reviews.
• Substantive experience with effective feedback channels and an understanding of social change.
• Proficiency in English is required.

Nice to have

• Proficiency in Arabic.
• Prior experience with hirify.global or other UN agency programme planning.
