TL;DR

Distinguished Engineer - CTO (BFSI): Shaping the next wave of BFSI transformation at a global scale by authoring strategic Points of View and leading client advisory for global financial institutions with an accent on core banking modernization and AI-driven infrastructure. Focus on navigating technology strategy, architecture decisions, and transformation roadmaps for C-level executives at G-SIBs.

Location: Remote (Must be based in the United States)

What you will do

  • Serve as the definitive BFSI domain authority for banking, capital markets, insurance, payments, and wealth management.
  • Develop and articulate strategic Points of View (PoVs) on core banking modernization, AI-driven underwriting, and open banking.
  • Lead technology strategy and architecture advisory engagements for CTO, CIO, and Chief Risk Officer levels.
  • Collaborate with sales teams to shape pursuit strategies and executive narratives for sophisticated financial buyers.
  • Represent the company as a keynote speaker and thought leader at global forums like Sibos and Money20/20.
  • Mentor global client-facing teams and identify market white spaces for new pipeline opportunities.

Requirements

  • 20+ years of deep BFSI experience, preferably as a former CTO, CIO, or Chief Architect at a top-tier global bank.
  • Expert knowledge of core banking platforms (Temenos, Finastra, FIS) and payment rails (ISO 20022, SWIFT, FedNow).
  • Proven ability to translate complex technical concepts into business value for CFOs and Board Risk Committees.
  • Experience managing large-scale technology transformation programs within global financial institutions.
  • Deep understanding of regulatory landscapes including Basel IV, DORA, MiFID II, GDPR, and BCBS 239.
  • Must be based in the United States.

Nice to have

  • Published author, recognized speaker, or contributor to industry bodies (SWIFT, IIF, WEF).
  • MBA or advanced degree in Finance, Computer Science, or Engineering.
