What you will do

• Own the information architecture, style, and editorial standards for the unified Claude Docs site.
• Design, build, and operate automated documentation systems, including self-healing pipelines and AI-assisted review tools.
• Establish conventions and tooling for product teams to maintain accurate and consistent documentation.
• Curate and edit contributions from across the company to ensure clarity and consistency.
• Maintain the style guide and define workflows for creating, reviewing, and publishing content.
• Track content quality and discoverability using reader feedback and analytics to drive improvements.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience at the intersection of documentation, user education, and software engineering.
• Knowledge of evaluation frameworks or observability for AI-powered systems.
• Experience guiding a documentation platform migration or redesign.
• Proficiency in modern software development practices, including version control, CI/CD, and testing.
• Expertise in technical writing and establishing information architecture for substantial technical sites.
• Must be based in or be able to work from the USA (San Francisco or New York City).

Nice to have

• Software engineering proficiency in Python and/or TypeScript/JavaScript for building production tooling.
• Experience building automated content systems and AI-assisted maintenance pipelines.
• Experience building AI applications or tooling using LLMs.
