Salary: $100,000 – $176,000 per year

What you will do

• Design, implement, and operate critical scalable services such as user identity services and friend graphs.
• Work across teams to evaluate technical trade-offs and deliver solutions for innovative products.
• Test, debug, and maintain high-quality code for the core persistence layer.
• Implement best practices for system availability, scalability, and cost management.

Requirements

• BS/BA degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience.
• 1+ years of post-Bachelor’s software development experience (or a Master's degree).
• Proven track record of operating highly-available systems at significant scale.
• Experience with backend services or distributed systems.
• Ability to work from a designated US office 4+ days per week.

Nice to have

• Experience with Java, C++, and/or Python.
• Knowledge of NoSQL solutions, Memcache, Redis, Kubernetes, or Google/AWS services.
• Experience in large-scale microservices, cloud computing, and system design.
