Salary: $138,000 - $208,000

What you will do

• Design and implement attitude control architectures and algorithms in an embedded C++ environment.
• Define requirements for ACS algorithms and hardware, including the development of roadmaps to enable new customer opportunities.
• Perform detailed analysis and simulation of mission-specific performance.
• Support on-orbit system performance trending and anomaly resolution, including on-call duties.
• Plan, execute, and validate software- and hardware-in-the-loop tests.

Requirements

• PhD or Master’s degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering with 5+ years of professional experience, or significant hands-on experience in GNC analysis and design.
• Strong software skills in C++.
• Deep knowledge of control and optimization theory, including stability analysis of flexible bodies.
• Experience with LEO platform attitude actuators and sensors (reaction wheels, magnetorquers, gyros, star trackers, and magnetometers).
• Expertise in numerical programming environments such as Python, Julia, or MATLAB.
• Must be a U.S. person (U.S. citizen, national, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee) to comply with export control regulations.

Nice to have

• Experience with ADCS of low-jitter precision pointing platforms, control moment gyros, and vibration isolation.
• Experience with spacecraft flight operations.
