Senior Systems Engineer (Space Systems)

Location: San Diego, CA; fully onsite. Applicants must be a U.S. Person eligible to obtain required export authorizations.

Salary: $165,000–$205,000 USD base salary annually, excluding benefits and bonus or incentive compensation.

What you will do

• Lead system requirements development and create requirements verification and compliance matrices.
• Design system architectures, block diagrams, interfaces, control documents, and design budgets.
• Perform optimization, analysis, and trade studies to ensure systems are realizable, testable, maintainable, and supportable.
• Support system integration, verification, validation, qualification, acceptance, and production testing.
• Develop product specifications, design documentation, verification plans, and test flows.
• Provide technical leadership to cross-functional engineering teams developing compute, camera, and radio products.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in engineering or systems engineering, with at least 8 years of experience.
• Experience with requirements management software such as JAMA or DOORS.
• Proven leadership experience driving technical projects and teams to completion.
• Experience with flight software, ground-system software, mission operations, and embedded systems development.
• Experience with ARM, PowerPC, x86, TI-DSP, or 8051 processors and microcontrollers using RTOS or bare metal.
• Experience with configuration management, issue tracking, agile development, embedded interfaces and protocols, and programming in C, C++, Python, or scripting and test languages.
