Industrial Maintenance Machinist

What you will do

• Perform hands-on fabrication, modification, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance.
• Manufacture any part the machine is capable of producing based on prints and specifications.
• Apply welding techniques and heat treatment of metals (annealing, tempering, case hardening, and quenching).
• Diagnose equipment problems, including assembling, disassembling, leveling, and aligning.
• Machine tips and dies to tolerances of .0005.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Proficiency with precision measuring tools such as micrometers.
• Mechanical aptitude and basic computer literacy.
• Strong English skills in reading, writing, and verbal communication.
• Ability to pass a background check, drug test, and physical.
• Must be able to work onsite in Willimantic, CT.

Nice to have

• 3+ years of machining or tool and die experience in a plant environment.
• Prior manufacturing experience, specifically in extrusion, wire drawing, or cabling.
