What you will do

• Recondition and re-profile axles and wheels using CNC lathes and industrial presses.
• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain machine shop tools and equipment.
• Diagnose and repair hydraulic and mechanical issues on shop machinery.
• Inspect freight car wheel components using precision gauging tools.
• Operate various non-powered and powered hand tools in a safety-sensitive environment.
• Adhere to strict safety protocols and federal regulations while working in diverse weather conditions.

Requirements

• Must be able to report for duty at the designated work location in Springfield, MO.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship.
• Minimum of four years of verifiable mechanical work experience or training.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs without assistance.
• Possess a valid state-issued driver’s license.
• Ability to visually distinguish colors and differentiate between verbal and non-verbal sounds.
