Salary: $25.00–$30.00 per hour

What you will do

• Operate manual and CNC lathes, mills, and various power tools to complete machining operations.
• Set up machines using general knowledge of speeds, feeds, and appropriate tooling selection.
• Verify completed work against blueprints, standards, and work instructions.
• Solve in-process equipment and tooling challenges and implement design improvements.
• Maintain accurate documentation and perform basic computer tasks to validate revisions.
• Assist in training and cross-training team members while participating in continuous improvement processes.

Requirements

• Must be able to work onsite in Blacksburg, VA.
• Must have access to U.S. export-controlled information (U.S. Person status).
• At least 6 years of related machining experience.
• Proficiency with manual and CNC machines, including lathes and mills.
• Strong knowledge of geometric dimensions and tolerancing (GD&T).
• Ability to lift at least 50 lbs.
