What you will do

• Develop and maintain user manuals, system operation procedures, interface control documents, and test plans.
• Collaborate with engineers and developers to translate complex technical concepts into accessible documentation.
• Establish documentation frameworks and best practices to ensure consistency and organization.
• Tailor content for diverse audiences, including engineers, end-users, and internal stakeholders.
• Review technical content for accuracy and clarity, incorporating feedback from subject matter experts.
• Continuously improve documentation processes and provide on-demand support for troubleshooting and deployment.

Requirements

• Must be a U.S. Citizen and hold or be able to obtain an active U.S. national security clearance.
• 3-5 years of experience as a technical writer in an engineering or technical field.
• Strong knowledge of DoD terminology, technical documentation processes, and defense acquisition standards.
• Proficiency with documentation tools including Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Office, XML-based editors, and Adobe FrameMaker.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, design specifications, and software documentation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with keen attention to detail.

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Technical Communication, or a related field.
