What you will do

• Lead the design and architecture of scalable backend solutions for the Patient Health Data Platform.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineers on best practices and design patterns.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define product features and validate ideas through experiments.
• Implement observability practices including logging, monitoring, and alerting to ensure system reliability.
• Analyze performance metrics to identify bottlenecks and drive optimization efforts.
• Contribute to the hiring process by assisting with interviews and onboarding new team members.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a software engineer shipping production code.
• 3+ years of experience with back-end distributed system design and microservice architectures.
• Proven experience building scalable web applications in a cloud environment.
• Proficiency with Kubernetes and AWS.
• Experience with PostgreSQL and CI/CD methodologies.
• Must be authorized to work in the US.

Nice to have

• Experience in healthcare tech, wearables, or connected device data.
• Familiarity with front-end technologies like React, React Native, or NextJS.
• Experience building developer frameworks or tools.
• Web performance optimization experience.
