TL;DR
Software Scrum Lead (Automotive): Leading agile execution for a cross-functional software and controls team focused on new transmission controls development with an accent on sprint planning, dependency management, and delivery flow. Focus on removing impediments and driving alignment between software, systems, and validation stakeholders in a complex embedded environment.
Location: Hybrid (Milford, Michigan); expected to report to the office at least three times per week.

What you will do
- Lead agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily standups, backlog refinement, and retrospectives.
- Coordinate alignment between software, systems, calibration, validation, and integration stakeholders.
- Manage dependencies and remove impediments to ensure efficient delivery flow and predictable execution.
- Maintain backlog health in Jira, ensuring epics and stories are high quality, prioritized, and well-defined.
- Establish team operating rhythms, metrics, and reporting to support delivery and decision-making.
- Facilitate cross-functional problem solving when execution issues span multiple domains or organizations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 5+ years of experience working in Agile product development or software delivery environments.
- Experience leading Scrum ceremonies and supporting Agile team execution in a structured manner.
- Proven ability to coordinate cross-functional teams and manage execution risks.
- Experience working with technical teams in embedded systems, controls, or related engineering environments.
- Must be based in or be able to relocate to Milford, Michigan.
Nice to have
- Master's degree in a relevant engineering or computer science discipline.
- 8+ years of experience in Agile product development.
- Scrum Master or other professional Agile certification.
- Experience in the automotive industry or technically complex product environments.
