IT Product Manager (Higher Education)

Salary: $78,496 – $105,974

What you will do

• Own the full lifecycle of assigned technology products and applications, serving as the primary subject matter expert.
• Develop and manage product roadmaps and backlogs, translating business needs into user stories and functional requirements.
• Partner with business leaders, technical teams, and external vendors to deliver strategic technology solutions.
• Lead product discovery, scope definition, business case development, and implementation efforts.
• Coordinate product launches, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and release management to ensure high-quality delivery.
• Monitor emerging technologies and vendor roadmaps to recommend continuous product optimizations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree preferred with at least 5 years of experience in product management or business analysis.
• Experience with D2L, student portals, and higher education technology platforms.
• Proven expertise in Agile methodologies, SDLC management, and business case development.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server, CRM platforms, system integrations, and APIs.
• Must be based in the United States and willing to travel up to 20%.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Student Information Systems (SIS) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) platforms.
• Knowledge of artificial intelligence (AI) and large language models (LLMs).
