What you will do
- Manage and coordinate a multidisciplinary PMO team (project managers, schedulers, financial analysts, quantity surveyors, project coordinators, and document control specialists).
- Independently validate EPC supplier performance, progress reporting, cost data, and schedule submissions for accuracy and contract compliance.
- Oversee financial controls and high-volume invoice review across 30+ subcontractor suppliers to ensure billing accuracy and proper documentation.
- Lead contract change management by tracking, analyzing, and validating EPC supplier change requests for cost and schedule impact.
- Develop governance reporting (weekly status, monthly performance, executive dashboards, and KPI tracking) and maintain the project risk register with mitigation strategies.
- Oversee document control and support construction execution, commissioning, and project closeout through final contract completion verification.
Requirements
- Onsite at client site with in-person time for collaboration, learning, and relationship building.
- Minimum 15 years of progressively responsible experience managing large-scale EPC capital projects in an owner’s representative or PMO leadership capacity.
- Demonstrated experience representing the company on EPC projects, including construction, commissioning, and closeout oversight.
- Strong project controls knowledge: schedule validation, earned value analysis, cost forecasting, and financial controls.
- Proven ability to provide independent oversight of EPC supplier performance and protect company interests without directing supplier means and methods.
- Valid driver’s license.
Nice to have
- PMP certification.
- Experience with natural gas compressor stations, gas plants, power plants, or refineries.
- Familiarity with Primavera P6, SAP, Maximo, Power BI, or similar project management systems.
- OSHA 10 (or equivalent safety training).
- Experience leading governance reporting for executive-level stakeholders.
- Familiarity with commissioning, energization planning, and project turnover activities.
