Director - Back-End Strategy (Semiconductor Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Shape the long-term back-end manufacturing and OSAT strategy in line with business growth objectives.
• Lead make-or-buy assessments, manufacturing footprint optimization, capacity planning, and investment evaluations.
• Evaluate external manufacturing partnerships, supplier ecosystems, and outsourcing strategies.
• Conduct market analysis, competitive benchmarking, and business case development for executive decision-making.
• Translate operational and business data into strategic recommendations and present updates to senior management.
• Drive cross-functional projects that improve manufacturing flexibility, cost competitiveness, and long-term supply resilience.

Requirements

• University degree in engineering, business management, supply chain management, strategy, or a related field.
• At least 10 years of experience in strategy, semiconductor manufacturing, consulting, operations strategy, or a related area.
• Strong understanding of semiconductor back-end manufacturing, assembly and test operations, or OSAT ecosystems.
• Experience with strategic planning, manufacturing footprint decisions, outsourcing strategies, or make-or-buy assessments.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, stakeholder management, communication, and influencing skills.
• Willingness to travel internationally to manufacturing sites, OSAT partners, suppliers, and industry events.
