Supervisor, Manufacturing Engineering (Spare Part Inventory Management)

Location: Bayan Lepas, Malaysia; work location at Bayan Lepas PN2, with a secondary location at Bayan Lepas PN1. Onsite manufacturing role.

What you will do

• Lead plant-wide maintenance spare parts management to support equipment reliability and uninterrupted production.
• Oversee inventory planning, stock optimization, consumption analysis, cycle counts, audits, and discrepancy investigations.
• Coordinate demand planning, purchase requisitions, supplier follow-up, deliveries, repair services, and spare parts disposal.
• Prepare quarterly demand forecasts and support maintenance shutdowns, turnarounds, and project planning.
• Monitor inventory availability, turnover, carrying costs, and forecast accuracy while driving cost reduction and continuous improvement.
• Supervise and develop the inventory team while promoting cross-functional collaboration, operational excellence, and safety.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline.
• At least 2–3 years of experience in maintenance spare parts, warehouse, inventory, or MRO materials management within manufacturing.
• Strong understanding of inventory planning, forecasting, procurement processes, and warehouse operations.
• Experience with ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle, planning software, demand forecasting, inventory management, or production scheduling.
• Experience with team supervision or leadership is preferred.
