What you will do
- Underwrite and manage a portfolio of professional indemnity risks, including new business and renewals.
- Assess, evaluate, and price risks while exercising underwriting authority within defined limits.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with brokers and clients to generate submission flow.
- Identify cross-sell and up-sell opportunities to drive business growth.
- Monitor market trends, legal developments, and emerging risks affecting professional liability.
- Document underwriting rationale and ensure compliance with internal practices.
Requirements
- Must have experience in professional indemnity or financial lines underwriting and/or broking.
- Must possess excellent local market knowledge and a strong professional reputation within the PI market.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Sound decision-making ability under pressure and with incomplete information.
- Commercial awareness and a financial mindset to balance risk and reward.
- Ability to respond to a changing environment with flexibility and innovation.
