TL;DR
Business Continuity & Insurance Manager (E-commerce): Building and embedding ASOS’s group framework for business continuity, disaster recovery, crisis management, third-party resilience, and insurance with an accent on operational resilience, governance, and recovery planning. Focus on coordinating impact assessments, testing and remediation, managing insurance renewals and claims, and applying AI, data analytics, and automation to improve resilience activities.

Location: Hybrid, with at least three days a week in the office; hirify.global HQ in London

What you will do

  • Define and embed a refreshed Group framework for business continuity, disaster recovery, crisis management, operational recovery, and critical third-party resilience.
  • Manage business impact assessments, plan reviews, testing, training, exercises, lessons learned, and remediation tracking.
  • Align recovery objectives, dependencies, plans, runbooks, and playbooks with Technology, Supply Chain, Customer, Commercial, Finance, People, Legal, Procurement, and other stakeholders.
  • Own the annual Group Insurance cycle, including renewals, claims, broker and insurer relationships, policy documentation, and stakeholder support.
  • Provide advice, challenge, training, and governance support on resilience, insurance, risk management, controls, and crisis response.
  • Lead and mentor a Senior Risk Analyst while identifying opportunities for AI, data analytics, and automation.

Requirements

  • Significant experience in business continuity, disaster recovery, crisis management, operational resilience, or a similar discipline.
  • At least 2–3 years of shaping, leading, or managing a business continuity programme in a diverse commercial environment.
  • Strong risk and controls awareness, analytical problem-solving skills, and experience working in complex or less mature operating environments.
  • Strong negotiation, influencing, stakeholder management, relationship-building, verbal communication, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work proactively, manage competing priorities, and operate effectively in an ambiguous, fast-paced environment.
  • Insurance programme management experience or a relevant professional qualification is advantageous but not essential.
