What you will do

• Lead and manage a team of Claim Specialists delivering a proactive, high-quality claims service.
• Align team objectives with departmental goals, service levels, and performance targets.
• Monitor performance data, identify trends, and respond to operational changes.
• Recruit, develop, and support colleagues to build capability and maintain service excellence.
• Oversee claims assessment and decision-making, including authorising payments within agreed limits.
• Build stakeholder relationships, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Proven experience leading and developing teams in a service-driven environment.
• Strong communication, influencing, and relationship-building skills.
• Good understanding of risk, governance, regulatory requirements, and data protection.
• Analytical ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
• Ability to prioritise workloads, adapt to changing business needs, and deliver fair customer outcomes.
• Experience in claims, insurance, or financial services is desirable.
