What you will do

• Develop new features and improve existing LogScale Search functionality for large-scale event and action data.
• Extend the LogScale backend in Scala to handle increasing ingest and query load while maintaining high availability.
• Own or participate in scoping, designing, and delivering cross-team platform-level initiatives.
• Ensure feature quality with automated tests and manual testing.
• Monitor production dashboards and follow up on released features; troubleshoot critical customer issues.
• Collaborate on design documents, technical talks, and internal documentation across distributed teams.

Requirements

• Passion for distributed systems and curiosity about system health and performance.
• Experience in software development with the ability to make pragmatic tradeoffs between short-term delivery and long-term goals.
• Experience contributing to technical leadership in products or services.
• Fluency in functional and object-oriented programming; ability to pick up new languages quickly.
• Demonstrated operational excellence when running services spanning many components across multiple geographical regions.
