Engineer III - LogScale Search (Cybersecurity)

Location: Hybrid in Aarhus, Denmark, with 2-3 days per week on-site at the Aarhus office

What you will do

• Design, develop, and deliver new LogScale Search features for high-volume security event ingestion and querying.
• Develop the LogScale backend in Scala and improve scalability, high availability, and cluster stability.
• Scope and lead solutions to open-ended engineering problems across the LogScale architecture.
• Monitor released features in production, troubleshoot critical customer issues, and maintain operational excellence.
• Collaborate through code reviews, pairing, design reviews, technical documentation, and cross-team solution delivery.
• Write automated tests and perform manual testing to ensure feature quality.

Requirements

• Professional software development experience and the ability to balance short-term delivery with long-term product goals.
• Strong interest in distributed systems and experience operating services spanning multiple components and geographical regions.
• Experience contributing to broad technical leadership in products or services.
• Fluency in functional and object-oriented programming, with the ability to learn new languages quickly.
• Strong collaboration, ownership, communication, and technical explanation skills.
• Proven experience using AI technologies to improve decision-making, workflows, efficiency, and business outcomes.

Nice to have

• Experience programming in Scala.
• Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Experience with Kafka.
• Experience designing and optimizing large-scale distributed systems with high scalability and availability.
• Experience with log management or cybersecurity products.
