What you will do

• Manage a squad of 6–9 engineers, owning 1:1s, performance calibration, hiring decisions, and succession planning.
• Optimize the team’s "Idea to Production" cycle time to strengthen delivery predictability.
• Allocate approximately 50% of time to system design and 20% to hands-on development and code reviews.
• Lead the adoption of AI-native engineering, including agentic tooling and LLM workflows, to accelerate development.
• Mediate interpersonal and cross-team conflicts to maintain team cohesion.
• Act as a technical safeguard by identifying unrealistic estimates, fragile designs, and risk blind spots.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience with a history of shipping production code recently.
• Explicit desire to lead people while remaining an active technical contributor (player-coach).
• High emotional intelligence and resilience under pressure.
• Strong ability to translate and synthesize technical information to unblock the team.
