Salary: $194,000 – $267,000 USD

What you will do

• Design, develop, and deliver cloud-based infrastructure projects using Java, Redis, Docker, and Terraform.
• Drive the evaluation and rollout of new common features and frameworks for shared services.
• Operate, support, and scale shared services like search, cache, and configuration management.
• Conduct design and code reviews while maintaining high programming standards through unit and functional testing.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve system performance bottlenecks.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineering team members.

Requirements

• Must be a U.S. Person (Citizen, Permanent Resident, etc.) to access federal data.
• 8+ years of expansive programming experience in object-oriented languages, specifically Java.
• 3+ years of experience working with MySQL or equivalent relational databases.
• 3+ years of experience developing and operating web services on Kubernetes.
• Strong understanding of multithreading, memory management, and garbage collection.
• Demonstrated experience with RESTful APIs and cloud-native infrastructure.

Nice to have

• Experience with gRPC, GCP, and enterprise SaaS environments.
• Deep knowledge of network security, authentication, and authorization protocols.
