What you will do

• Lead the development and continuous improvement of the enterprise Energetics Safety Program and company-wide policies.
• Manage risks associated with energetic materials using PHAs, HAZOPs, FMEAs, and Quantity-Distance evaluations.
• Integrate energetics safety across engineering, manufacturing, and test operations throughout the product lifecycle.
• Ensure enterprise compliance with DoD explosives safety standards, ATF, OSHA, DOT, and NFPA requirements.
• Develop and maintain the Energetics Safety Training Program, including competency and qualification expectations.
• Lead investigations into incidents involving energetic materials to implement corrective and preventive actions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, Occupational Safety, Chemistry, Physics, or a related technical discipline.
• 8+ years of experience supporting energetic materials or explosives operations in aerospace, defense, or high-hazard industries.
• Proven experience leading hazard analyses and risk assessments using qualitative and quantitative methodologies.
• Working knowledge of DoD explosives safety, ATF regulations, OSHA, DOT, and NFPA codes.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government-issued security clearance.
• U.S. citizenship is required.

Nice to have

• Experience with solid rocket motor manufacturing, propulsion systems, or missile programs.
• Experience with government test ranges, facility siting, or quantitative consequence modeling.
• Professional certifications such as CSP, CIH, or CHMM.
• Active Secret security clearance.
