Senior Technical Lead (Defense)

TL;DR

Senior Technical Lead (Defense): Providing technical leadership and subject matter expertise for U.S. Army Aviation modernization initiatives with an accent on Air Launched Effects (ALE), Aircraft Survivability Equipment (ASE), and Electronic Warfare (EW). Focus on guiding programs through the acquisition lifecycle, supporting systems engineering activities, and advising Government customers on advanced aviation technologies.

Location: Must be based in the Tidewater, VA region (On-site)

What you will do

• Serve as the primary technical advisor for ALE, ASE, EW, and UAS initiatives.
• Collaborate with Government program offices and military stakeholders to develop mission-critical technical solutions.
• Support systems engineering activities including requirements development, integration planning, and risk identification.
• Assist in the development and review of acquisition documentation such as CDDs, CPDs, and system specifications.
• Provide technical input during design reviews, milestone reviews, and Integrated Product Teams (IPTs).
• Develop and present technical briefings to senior military leaders and acquisition officials.

Requirements

• Active DoD Secret Clearance required.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Systems Engineering, Aviation, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline.
• 10+ years of experience supporting Army Aviation programs.
• Demonstrated expertise in ALE, ASE, EW, UAS, or payload integration.
• Experience supporting PEO Aviation, PM Aviation, or related Army organizations.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with experience briefing senior leadership.
