• Lead metabolomics research initiatives to develop and optimize cell culture media for T cell and stem cell therapies.
• Design chemically-defined media platforms tailored to meet the unique needs of various cell-based products.
• Apply advanced metabolomics tools and computational methods to drive continuous improvement in cell culture performance.
• Lead technology transfer initiatives to translate laboratory innovations into scalable and robust manufacturing processes.
• Provide strategic technical leadership and guidance to process development teams and supply chain partners.
• Mentor scientific staff, fostering a culture of technical excellence and lean thinking.

Requirements

• PhD in biological sciences, chemical engineering, or a related discipline.
• 5+ years of relevant R&D experience in metabolomics and/or cell culture media development.
• Proven track record of leading complex technical projects from conception to practical manufacturing solutions.
• Demonstrated success in building and managing inclusive, productive technical teams.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, demonstrated through peer-reviewed publications and conference presentations.
• Must be based in or be able to relocate to South San Francisco, Oceanside, or San Diego, CA.
