Vice President, Controller (Robotics)

Location: Hybrid - Fremont, CA. All roles are U.S.-based; must have current authorization to work in the United States.

Salary: $285,000 – $370,000 USD

What you will do

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes and prepare consolidated financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
• Drive accounting readiness for transition to public markets, including building SEC reporting processes for Forms 10-K, 10-Q, and 8-K.
• Design, implement, and maintain a scalable Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) internal control framework and governance processes.
• Oversee all accounting operations, including General Ledger, AP/AR, Payroll, Inventory, Cost Accounting, and Revenue Accounting.
• Serve as the primary liaison with external auditors and manage regulatory reporting and financial compliance activities.
• Lead ERP implementation and optimization to improve financial close efficiency through automation and standardization.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance and CPA certification is required.
• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including high-level leadership roles.
• Deep technical expertise in U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting requirements.
• Proven experience implementing and operating within a SOX-compliant internal control environment.
• Demonstrated success as a Controller or Assistant Controller in high-growth technology or manufacturing companies.
• Must be based in the US with current legal authorization to work in the United States.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting an IPO or de-SPAC transaction, or operating within a public company.
• Specific experience in manufacturing, inventory, and cost accounting.
• Public accounting experience with a Big Four or nationally recognized firm.
• Experience supporting global or multi-entity operations.
