What you will do

• Mature SOC activities and lead effective threat detection and response efforts.
• Direct proactive threat hunting operations to neutralize threats before impact.
• Design and implement defense-in-depth strategies aligned with NIST, DoD, and intelligence community frameworks.
• Deploy and manage advanced security technologies including SIEM, EDR/XDR, and SOAR.
• Develop threat intelligence programs specifically aligned to aerospace and defense sector threats.
• Ensure compliance with NIST 800-171, CMMC, ITAR, and DFARS regulations.

Requirements

• 7+ years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity, focusing on defensive operations.
• 2+ years of experience in a leadership or team lead capacity.
• Proven experience in defense, aerospace, intelligence, or government sectors.
• Expertise in SIEM, EDR, IDS/IPS, and system hardening.
• Proficiency in Python, PowerShell, or Bash for scripting and automation.
• Eligibility to maintain a U.S. security clearance.

Nice to have

• Senior-level certifications such as CISSP, Security+, GIAC, GCFA, or CISA.
• Experience with GovCloud (AWS/Azure).
• Knowledge of malware analysis and reverse engineering.
