Senior Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE) (Healthcare & Life Sciences)

Location: New York City, New York; candidates located anywhere within the Central or Eastern Time Zones are also eligible. Travel to customers is required 20% of the time.

Salary: $182,000–$250,208 USD per year, with potential annual performance bonus, equity, and benefits.

What you will do

• Lead customer technical projects by designing and delivering production-grade data, AI, and application solutions.
• Own architecture and design decisions for secure, scalable end-to-end systems.
• Build data ingestion pipelines, custom applications, reference architectures, and ML/AI model integrations.
• Embed with customer teams, guide architecture and implementation, and support successful platform adoption.
• Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineering, support, and customer stakeholders to deliver technical engagements.
• Develop reusable accelerators, frameworks, and best practices that scale across accounts and inform the product roadmap.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in data engineering, data platforms and analytics, or software engineering.
• Programming experience with Python, Scala, JavaScript/TypeScript, and modern frameworks.
• Working knowledge of at least two cloud ecosystems among AWS, Azure, and GCP, with expertise in one.
• Deep experience with distributed computing using Apache Spark and knowledge of Spark runtime internals.
• Experience with CI/CD, MLOps, ML/AI models, AI APIs, and production end-to-end data architectures.
• Experience delivering technical projects for enterprise clients, managing scope and outcomes, documenting solutions, and handling broad stakeholder relationships.
