Data Engineer (Healthcare)

Location: Remote nationwide within the United States; candidates must reside in and be authorized to work in the United States. Travel to and onsite work at client, temporary, or corporate office locations may be required as business needs dictate.

Salary: $84,000–$126,000 annually, based on experience.

What you will do

• Develop, test, deploy, and maintain data pipelines and API integrations using established engineering patterns.
• Translate defined product and business requirements into reliable technical solutions.
• Implement and support data quality checks for accurate production data.
• Monitor pipelines, resolve data issues, and document solutions and operational processes.
• Participate in design discussions and code reviews while contributing to platform modernization.
• Use generative AI tools under guidance to support development, troubleshooting, and code quality improvements.

Requirements

• 3+ years of hands-on experience developing solutions with Microsoft SQL.
• 2+ years of experience with Databricks, Apache Spark, Python, and Microsoft Azure technologies, including ADF, Dataflows, Azure Functions, and Service Bus.
• Experience with healthcare data and EDI.
• Working knowledge of automated testing, code reviews, telemetry, and DevOps practices.
• Experience with Delta Lake and Parquet in ADLS.
• Familiarity with distributed data processing and event-driven architectures.
• Ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical partners, maintain attention to detail, and take accountability for owned deliverables.
• Must demonstrate inquisitiveness and openness to innovation, including AI-assisted process improvement.
