Location: Must be based in Warren, Michigan (Hybrid: 3+ days/week in office)

What you will do

• Provide global technical leadership for body structures design across all Advanced Vehicle Development programs.
• Define and drive structural strategies that balance performance, cost, mass, and manufacturing complexity.
• Lead advanced technology development in partnership with research teams, suppliers, and industry collaborators.
• Serve as a global technical authority, guiding design reviews and establishing enterprise-level standards.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with CAE, Safety, Manufacturing, and Design teams to deliver practical engineering solutions.
• Mentor technical teams and support capability development in body structure engineering.

Requirements

• Bachelor degree in Engineering, Math, or Physics required.
• Minimum 8 years of relevant engineering experience in advanced vehicle development.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship.
• Expert-level knowledge of body structure engineering and compliance with Motor Vehicle Safety Standards.
• Deep experience with production processes including metal forming, joining, and body shop tooling.
• Ability to travel up to 25% and maintain a valid driver's license for vehicle evaluation programs.

• Master’s degree in a relevant field.
