Senior Hardware Architect (Automotive)

Location: Novi, Michigan, United States; candidates must reside within a commutable distance. On-site presence is required at least three days per week, with remote work available up to two days per week.

What you will do

• Lead electrical architecture and hardware development for next-generation automotive technology platforms.
• Guide schematic design, PCB layout, component engineering, and hardware simulation activities.
• Define electrical architectures, technology roadmaps, design standards, and technical solutions for customer requirements and RFQ responses.
• Drive component selection, qualification, lifecycle strategy, and integration of emerging technologies.
• Collaborate with Systems, Software, Mechanical, Manufacturing, Purchasing, Optics, and supplier teams from concept through production launch.
• Optimize designs for performance, reliability, manufacturability, cost, functional safety, and cybersecurity.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a similar field; a master’s degree is preferred.
• At least five years of experience in an electrical or hardware architect role.
• Automotive experience and knowledge of ADAS applications and sensor sets.
• Strong understanding of digital circuit block design and product integration.
• Knowledge of Functional Safety and ASPICE standards, plus familiarity with engineering tools.
• Basic coding and modeling skills in MATLAB, Simulink, or Python; experience using AI tools.
