Location: Remote (Must be located within the continental United States)

Salary: $145,000 - $155,000 Annually

What you will do

• Establish and govern UX standards and practices to ensure consistency and scalability across the program.
• Partner with Product Managers, UI Designers, and engineers to integrate UX earlier in the SDLC.
• Define lightweight approaches for user touchpoints and iterative design validation.
• Guide UAT design toward user-centered validation using task-based scenarios and effective evaluation methods.
• Coach and mentor Product Managers and UI Designers in usability principles and user-informed decision-making.
• Contribute to accessibility, usability, and experience quality practices across the digital product portfolio.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Design, Human Factors, Psychology, Information Science, or related field.
• 12+ years of relevant UX, product design, or service design experience.
• Experience establishing UX standards or leading practices across multiple teams or products.
• Proven ability to conduct usability testing, workflow validation, and user-centered evaluation.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Suitability/Public Trust clearance.
• Must be based in the continental United States.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting federal health, government digital services, or regulated environments.
• Familiarity with accessibility standards and inclusive design principles.
• Knowledge of clinical workflows, healthcare operations, or digital health products.
• Prior experience supporting the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) and familiarity with its systems.
