Product Designer (Trust & Risk)

TL;DR

Product Designer (Trust & Risk): Designing scalable systems to protect buyers and sellers and strengthen marketplace trust with an accent on fraud detection, policy enforcement, and appeals workflows. Focus on building intuitive internal tools for moderation and creating fair, actionable user experiences for compliance and account standing.

Location: Must be based in the US (Remote or Hybrid in LA, SF, NYC, or Seattle)

Salary: $153K – $235K + Equity

What you will do

• Design end-to-end experiences that protect marketplace integrity while minimizing friction for legitimate users.
• Translate complex policies, workflows, and risk signals into intuitive product experiences.
• Create wireframes, prototypes, and polished visuals to solve ambiguous Trust & Risk problems.
• Build internal tooling for teams reviewing reports, moderating content, and investigating fraud.
• Contribute to the broader design system while advocating for accessibility and inclusive UX.
• Use data and research to iterate on tools and identify new opportunities to reduce harm.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in Product Design with a strong portfolio of shipped work.
• Strong interaction and systems thinking to untangle complex flows and edge cases.
• Expertise in design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Protopie, or Framer.
• Deep understanding of UX research, wireframing, and usability testing methodologies.
• Proven experience designing zero-to-one products in ambiguous environments.
• Must be located in the United States.

• Experience in e-commerce, marketplace platforms, or supply chain management.
