What you will do

• Develop logic design, RTL coding, and simulation for CPU functional units and IP blocks.
• Define CPU architecture and microarchitecture features.
• Optimize logic to meet power, performance, area (PPA), and timing goals.
• Review verification plans and implement corrective measures for failing RTL tests.
• Document micro-architectural specifications (MAS) for CPU features.
• Collaborate with SoC customers to ensure high-quality integration of CPU blocks.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering (with 2+ years experience) or a Master's Degree in the same field.
• Proficiency in Basic Logic Design, Microprocessors, and Computer Architecture.
• Experience with Digital Design and RTL coding using Verilog, SystemVerilog, or VHDL.
• Knowledge of Synthesis tools such as Design Compiler or Genus.
• Ability to use scripting languages including Python, Perl, or TCL.

Nice to have

• Experience with advanced verification methodologies like UVM or OVM.
• Knowledge of low-power design techniques.
• Understanding of physical design constraints and timing closure.
• Proficiency with version control systems like Git or Perforce.
• Experience with simulation tools such as ModelSim, VCS, or Xcelium.
