Physical Design Engineer (IC Design): Execute physical design from RTL to silicon tape-out with an accent on timing closure, place-and-route, and clock tree synthesis. What you will do
- Run the full physical design cycle: synthesis, physical verification, and timing closure from RTL to tape-out.
- Set up and synthesize RTL, including top-level STA-focused timing closure strategies.
- Perform EM/IR analysis and address related reliability and power integrity concerns.
- Own place and route, including floor-planning and layout with top-level floorplanning experience.
- Develop and improve physical design flow and methodology, including clock tree synthesis (custom clock trees, insertion reduction, skew balancing).
- Collaborate with IC design RTL engineers to integrate physical design outcomes with RTL development.
Requirements
- In-person work required at the Colorado Springs, Colorado site (no remote work allowed).
- 12+ years of relevant experience in physical IC design.
- Full physical design cycle experience from RTL to tape-out.
- Strong scripting skills: TCL and/or PERL.
- Proficiency with related EDA tools.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
