What you will do

• Manufacture complex parts with intricate contours and close tolerances using cylindrical, internal, or surface grinders.
• Perform full set-ups, including chucking, aligning irregular shapes, and selecting proper wheels and speeds.
• Dress wheels for various forms, tapers, and steps to meet drawing requirements.
• Inspect work using air gages, profilometers, and electronic gauging equipment to detect defects.
• Interpret blueprints and operation sheets to ensure precision components meet strict specifications.
• Collaborate on work planning and problem-solving within the production cell.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience as a Grind Machinist.
• Proficiency with micrometers, calipers, and dial bore gauges.
• Ability to hold tight tolerances (typically .001 +/- .0005) and apply GD&T.
• Competency in reading and interpreting blueprints and written work instructions.
• Must participate in the F.A.A. Drug & Alcohol Program for Safety Sensitive Work.
• Must have access to U.S. export-controlled information.
