What you will do

• Define, prioritize, and manage the roadmap and backlog for the internal COBOL application.
• Develop, test, and deploy COBOL code to add new features and enhance application capabilities.
• Ensure application stability and seamless integration with modern CI/CD pipelines and middleware.
• Serve as the primary technical advisor (SME) for COBOL integration and modernization strategies.
• Establish governance processes for community contributions from multiple internal organizations.

Requirements

• 12+ years of software engineering experience with a heavy focus on enterprise COBOL development.
• Expertise in IBM mainframe or mainframe-emulation environments.
• High proficiency in building applications using mainframe subsystems (Db2, IMS, CICS, IDMS, Datacom).
• Experience with Source Code Management tools such as Endevor and GitHub.
• Bachelor's degree with 12+ years of experience or Master's degree with 10+ years of experience.
• Must be based in Durham, NC, USA.
