Sr. Software Engineer - Signals & Algorithm Interfaces (Python/C++)

Location: Newton, Massachusetts, United States of America; minimum four days per week onsite

Salary: $124,800–$187,200 per year in U.S. locations, excluding Puerto Rico and specific California locations

What you will do

• Own production interfaces connecting the Signals & Algorithms team with the Prism Mapping system.
• Collaborate with algorithm developers to integrate algorithms into production while optimizing latency, memory usage, and determinism.
• Design real-time data paths, buffering, threading, and data contracts for signal-processing components.
• Partner with visualization and UI engineers to display algorithm outputs accurately on cardiac maps and in the application.
• Lead features and subsystems through design, implementation, integration, support, and architectural improvement.
• Provide technical leadership through code reviews, mentoring, debugging, and cross-functional collaboration in a regulated environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree with at least 4 years of relevant experience, or a master’s degree with at least 2 years, or a PhD with no required experience.
• Strong Python and/or C++ expertise with a record of delivering production software.
• Experience with real-time or near-real-time signal or data pipelines is preferred.
• Knowledge of DSP fundamentals applied to biomedical, sensor, or telemetry signals is preferred.
• Experience with complex software applications, Linux, networking, distributed or multi-device systems, Docker, CI/CD, and automated testing is preferred.
• Unrestricted U.S. work authorization is required at hiring and throughout employment; sponsorship is limited to Principal-level roles and above.

Nice to have

• Experience productionizing research or prototype code into reliable, testable systems.
• Experience contributing to architecture, design standards, or technical direction.
• Experience working across software, systems, hardware, and quality teams in a regulated or quality-driven environment.
• Experience setting standards for AI development tools.
