What you will do

• Partner with Product to define what to build, then design and deliver application components, critical services, and integration layers.
• Set quality thresholds and release criteria across correctness, latency, reliability, cost, and user trust.
• Build product capabilities end-to-end (service + workflow integration + instrumentation) using Python and Next.js with modern backend patterns.
• Use AI-assisted coding tools (Claude Code, Cursor, agentic workflows) to accelerate prototyping, refactoring, test generation, and documentation while applying code review standards and guardrails.
• Own production readiness: reliability, observability, performance tuning, and incident response preparedness.
• Collaborate with Platform Engineering and DevOps on CI/CD, environment consistency, scaling strategies, cost controls, secrets management, and secure data handling.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience with demonstrated technical leadership.
• Strong experience building and operating production distributed systems and backend services.
• Strong proficiency in Python; experience with Next.js/TypeScript for full-stack delivery.
• Daily fluency with AI coding tools and agents (e.g., Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot) including effective context management and critical review of generated code.
• Strong system design skills: APIs, data flows, integration patterns, and performance/reliability tradeoffs.
• Experience with observability and operational excellence (logging, metrics, tracing, alerting, incident response) plus automated testing and CI/CD tooling.

Nice to have

• Experience in a healthcare SaaS environment.
• Familiarity with multi-tenant architectures and enterprise access control models.
