Site Reliability Engineer

TL;DR

Site Reliability Engineer (DevOps): Building and maintaining an internal developer platform to ensure high availability and scalability for critical financial services with an accent on automation, containerization, and infrastructure reliability. Focus on optimizing Kubernetes clusters, managing AWS resources, and implementing robust CI/CD pipelines using tools like ArgoCD and Terraform.

Location: Must be based in London, UK. This is a hybrid role requiring regular in-office attendance (minimum 2-3 days per week depending on seniority level).

What you will do

• Build and maintain a scalable internal developer platform supporting high-frequency production releases.
• Manage and optimize infrastructure on AWS using Terraform and Kubernetes.
• Contribute to operational support and resolve complex system issues.
• Integrate AI tooling to improve efficiency in development and maintenance workflows.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure system reliability and performance.
• Implement and manage CI/CD workflows using Jenkins and ArgoCD.

Requirements

• Must be based in or able to work from the London office.
• Strong experience with Linux environment automation (Bash, Python).
• Proficiency in operating distributed systems and containerized workloads (Kubernetes).
• Experience deploying and managing infrastructure in AWS.
• Development experience in a compiled language like Golang or Python.
• Understanding of security best practices and monitoring platforms.

Nice to have

• Experience with Kafka deployment and optimization.
• Prior exposure to Confluent.
• Experience with logging aggregators like Elasticsearch or Loki.
